Thanks to the fantastic effort of the Adelaide College of The Arts Technical production students who demonstrated such a high quality standard of work providing the production for our X Space Theatre performance.
The show was commissioned as to enable the students the opportunity of working with a REAL band, YES Spinal Tap is a Real Band,, well maybe not originally,,, Life imitating Art again !! But Tap InTo OZ definatly is.
Being a Graduate of AC Arts " yes I did my time too " , I knew Jeanne would have sat all the students down and got them to watch Rob Reiners film " This Is Spinal Tap ". Hopefully everyone got a chuckle out of the the film and our show.
Anyway, back on topic, It gave the students a chance to all work together on a live band production with a bunch Nut Jobs like the guys in Tap InTo OZ and put together all the elements covered in their studies.
There were lighting operators, follow spot operators, FOH sound engineers, Monitor Engineers, Recording Engineers, Camera operators, stagehands and more.
We were even met in Tafe's Bat Cave, "underground Car Park, wish they'd fix the turntable " by eager students willing and more than able to lug all our crap up to the X Space Theatre and help set up our instruments.
Dressing rooms and all the facilities we required were provided, although,, we never found the courtesy mini bar ??
Special thanks to Jeanne and the all the AC ARTS Staff for letting us take part and appreciation for all their time taken coordinating the Event. The audio multi track recordings and camera footage given to us made during the performance has made it possible to create the music videos I am now producing using HitFilm 4 Express and ProTools First. For all you penny strapped students both these programs are free. I did spend $30 on HitFilm upgrading the color / contrast and audio codec features. Hitfilm 4 Express is an amazing editor considering it's free. The 45min show in HD and with a basic HQ audio mix came in at 99Gbytes. The likes of windows movie maker and such couldn't even load the file let alone provide anywhere near the functions available on Hitfilm.

Well that's about it for now, one last comment.
The entire evening was great fun for the band and the professional conduct was a credit to the AC Arts Students and Staff.
Many Thanks from the everyone in the Band,,
Chris , Matt , Herb and Stewy

We'd Love to come back again,,,
hint hint,,
